Sturminster Newton Town Council is now licensed to perform civil marriage/partnership ceremonies in the council’s Chamber. The Council Chamber is part of the new development on Old Market Hill and has been designed to be both dignified and comfortable. There’s flexible seating and a décor which will provide the perfect setting for that perfect day. The room itself can accommodate a party of up to 60 and there is a small kitchen, ideal for pouring something sparkling to toast the happy couple. The hire of the Council Chamber for a civil marriage/partnership costs just £150 or £125 if you are a resident of Sturminster Newton and you will have the use of the Council Chamber for two hours (from 30 minutes prior to the ceremony onwards).

Please note that before any booking can be confirmed you will also need to book the registration service with Dorset County Council - but you will be given full details on this process when you make your initial enquiry.
The Council Chamber is located in the town centre and next to The Exchange, it is ideally placed for your celebrations. The Exchange in particular has a variety of rooms available, catering for all budgets.
